Orange Sesame Salmon

This recipe has a naturally sweet and super flavorful glaze that helps to create this super easy Orange Sesame Salmon. So super easy and simple to prepare- oh and it is ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 Pound Wild Salmon skin on, rinsed in cold water, patted dry
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh ginger minced
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 Sprigs Thyme
  • 1 Tablespoon Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 3 Tablespoon Reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Fresh orange juice Add up to 3/4 if you like a lot of sauce
  • 2 Teaspoon Honey or brown sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Fresh Lemon juice or vinegar (if oranges are on the sweeter side)
  • cilantro, scallion and sesame seed for topping
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet with oil.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, orange juice, honey, thyme, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and crushed red pepper, to taste.

Place salmon fillet, skin side down in baking dish. Season with light salt and black pepper to taste on both sides. Spoon the glaze over the salmon and place orange slices where desired.

Bake for 15-20 minutes. Switch oven to broil and cook for another 5 minutes, until salmon and oranges are slightly charred.

Serve immediately and garnish with fresh cilantro, thinly sliced scallions and sesame seeds.

  2. Note: I didn't have Sesame Seeds in the pictures but I religiously use them in this recipe. Lightly toast them then sprinkle them on the fish to serve.
