Welcome to my little blog!!!

Yum

Welcome to my little blog!!!! Before I get into my little space on the internet, let me just ask- have you ever been overwhelmed with things? I realized that I wanted to take a leap of faith and start a blog but every time (and I do mean EVERY TIME) that I would set a hard deadline for myself, everything (and I do mean EVERYTHING) would fall apart.  So last week I had a deadline to launch and publish my site, everything happened all at once: my car got two flat tires on two separate days, my children started a new school and hated it, my credit card was stolen, my husband had a rough week at work and several family members had emergencies. Can I just say WOW!!!!

I had to take a minute today and reflect on this past week and I realized that if I am ever going to do this, I have to (for the lack of a better term) just do it. So that I exactly what I did. I got the kids off to school and I hit publish. I just stopped overthinking it. I realize that there will never be a perfect moment where the clouds part and the stars align. So right now at this moment all I can do is take that first step anyhow.

So, I have wanted to start a blog (Since 2009) but life happened. I love the life that happened and all its adventures but in an attempt to not sound selfish I think it is time to do something just for me. Something solely for my love of cooking and taking pictures.

So this is my blog! I will be sharing what is happening in my life and what I am cooking. I’ve always thought that food has a way of bonding us together. I know that in my extended family we get together once a week and we always communicate better over a plate of food.  I hope that through this blog you can see my heart and we will be the best of friends.

I am so glad that I am doing this. Let’s start this journey together friends.

XOXO
