image These easy butter garlic roasted cabbage steaks  are everything to me right now. I mean… on this bright and breezy day all I want to do is wear pajamas and eat roasted cabbage. You feel me right? That’s not weird at all right? I’m glad you agree and thats why we are the bestest of friends. image Am I the only one that is noticing that cabbage is coming strong in the 2016? I feel like everyone is suddenly declaring their love of cabbage. I remember when I would proudly say that cabbage was one of my favorite vegetable. Oh the looks I would get… the feels were strong then! But with these easy butter garlic roasted cabbage steaks are a game changer for sure. Cabbage + garlic+ thyme+ butter + parmesan= cabbage bliss! image One of the first real food obsessions that I can remember clearly is that of requesting/begging/bartering/whining/groveling for steamed cabbage. Now before you walk out the door let me explain. I love cabbage and for a few years I went on a cabbage fueled bender. I think that cabbage is one of the most under rated vegetables around. It got this bad reputation for no reason. Cabbage is great— try it! Jade did and her face only slightly screwed up before she said ” this isn’t all bad” Coming from my food specific 5 year old, that is high praise.    image I think the key to what makes this recipe so go is the melted thyme garlic butter that I brush it with every 10 minutes. This might seem like you can omit it but let’s do a trust exercise. You brush it on and we can call the squats to get into the oven exercise. WINNING! image I love dishes that all you have to do to make it is put it in the oven and walk away. Make it tonight, it is cabba-licious!!!!
