Summer Fruit Toast

Yum

This summer fruit toast recipe is truly as simple as it sounds. I love summer fruits. Everything seems juicer and more flavorful in the summer months. So mix and match all you want. Just have fun with it!

I have a standing date with my girl friends. Every friday morning we have breakfast together. It’s odd. But we haven’t had to go to school or work on fridays since high school. Our High school was kind of great- we had the option of going to school on fridays for additional classes or we could volunteer.

You would think that we would sleep in or go to the beach. Nope. If we didn’t got to school for additional classes then we would have a standing schedule to tutor at an elementary school or candy stripes. I tried to find a picture of us in our uniforms- Maybe I’ll post it on Instagram when for TBT.

It taught us how to manage our time. It taught us that there is a larger world outside of high school. I think that helped all of us. In high school it is kind of hard to see outside of the events going on around you. That is why at the ripe old age of 6 and 7, I make Jonathan and Jade come along with me to volunteer. If I can teach them even at this age the importance of giving a piece of themselves to others- I would be extremely happy.

So we continued the tradition of not going to school on fridays even through college. It is a little bit more challenging now that we work and have kids or fur babies. So we started to get up earlier and earlier just to have this time to chat, give hair advice(Youtube is an obsession),  I usually interject what happened on HGTV, and we EAT!!!
