Nothing says "hello weekend" like a Buttermilk waffle.
WAFFLES, WAFFLES, WAFFLES!!!! Nothing says “hello weekend” like Buttermilk waffles. And if you are like me and you love to eat waffles with every single meal all-weekend then this post is for you. Here is the idea, one PERFECT buttermilk waffle recipe but with a few tweaks you can have it 3 ways. This is the best of three worlds (go with it).

Nothing says "hello weekend" like a Buttermilk waffle.

The original: So Jade is a purest. She rarely like things that have been tweaked/changed/edited. She is one strict 5 year old. She gets it from her Dad. She likes her waffles plain with butter. I kid you not. If she is in a really good mood then she will add a little maple syrup. She is a party animal like that.    So this one is for Jade.

The Big Cheese( Buttermilk waffle): I like cheese, and I cannot lie.    There is no shame in my game. The stronger the flavor, the stronger my love. So when you add cheese, scallions and thyme to the original buttermilk recipe – it takes it to another level. Like beyond anything that I can explain. It takes on a life of its own. It is larger than life.

The Nutella (buttermilk waffle): I. DON’T.EVEN.HAVE.WORDS.    This waffle right here….(walks out of the room, drinks a glass of water). All right I’m back!  I’m not really a fan of sweet things in the morning. But I am a fan of chocolate.  Therefor, I’m also obsessed with Nutella. And once in a while I walk on the dark side and go a little Nutella crazy. Insert this Nutella buttermilk waffle.

I can’t choose which waffle is my favorite. It is like picking a favorite child. Impossible!! They’re all pretty awesome in their own way. I love ’em during the week, during the weekend, during rainy days, sunny days, basically any day.

Go ahead and make them today. And pick a favorite, I dare ya!!!!

My kids love waffles. We probably eat them for breakfast at least twice a month. I could so slide in some Nutella and the crowd would go wild. Thank you
